Météo France assigns frame contract for up to six S-Band weather radars to Selex ES GmbH

The French Meteorological Service Météo France has awarded Selex ES GmbH, a Leonardo company, with a frame contract on up to six (6) S-Band magnetron weather radar systems. 

The contract aims at replacing existing radar systems in France and its overseas departments in order to modernize the French weather radar network. Three of the new radars will be installed on the mainland France, and three in French overseas departments.

Selex ES is going to supply its latest state-of-the-art 700S S-Band magnetron weather radar systems. With more than forty (40) Selex ES weather radar systems already contracted over the years, Selex ES is extremely proud of the longterm relationship with Méteo France and looking forward to continuing the fruitful cooperation with this recent contract.
